Heath Park Business and Enterprise College Move Forward with Interactive Learning Using NetSupport School

“For the last few years we have had the persistent problem of monitoring and tracking pupils Internet access. Along with this, the view to move more interactive learning, peer and self assessment gave us the opportunity to look at software on the market to help meet these needs more effectively. We found at times pupils tend to stray onto Internet sites and applications they shouldn’t during lessons and NetSupport School offered a simple solution to these problems,” says Jonathan Crook, Teacher of ICT.

“NetSupport School has been implemented throughout the whole of the ICT department in Heath Park and has been received very well by all teaching staff. Whilst looking to purchase control and monitoring software we also looked at NetOp and Ranger but found these to be more expensive and lacked many of the key features found within NetSupport School. We are very pleased that we have purchased this software as the potential for use in the classroom is second to none.

NetSupport School has allowed our Students to focus more on their class work without the distraction of other applications and Internet sites. Pupils can now easily evaluate their peer’s work using the simple scan feature. Giving resources to pupils has also been made easier and has reduced the amount of paper needed for printing. The ability to collect work simultaneously from students and to show pupils how to complete tasks on a one to one basis through their computers has proved to be very valuable. The Staff have praised the ease in which they can use the software and have found all aspects easy to understand and implement. So far after one month’s use NetSupport has been invaluable and we hope it will enable us to move forward with interactive learning.

Overall NetSupport has provided excellent customer support and services, they could not do enough and have tried to meet every need. I would recommend this product to any school in a similar situation to us who are looking to enhance learning and have greater control over students in an ICT suite.”
