Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Selects NetSupport Manager for District-Wide Desktop Management and Remote Support

The Hamilton Wentworth District School Board selected NetSupport Manager for district-wide remote desktop management and support. NetSupport Manager will provide Hamilton Wentworth’s Help Desk staff quick, easy and secure remote access across a WAN to each of their 123 schools. With the NSM remote control software solution, Hamilton Wentworth’s Help Desk staff aims to optimize its IT support department through faster response rates, improved customer service, and reduced travel support costs.

“In order to optimize our support of administrative computers, in the most secure way possible, we decided to use NetSupport Manager remote control software. We know this product can be tied directly into our Windows XP workstations and Active Directory, and we won't be worrying about having students, (potential hackers that are inside our firewall) gaining access to our administrative system. NSM will provide our help desk staff quick, easy and secure remote access across our WAN to each of our 123 schools. Our help desk can perform repairs, assistance, and shadowing of administrative users workstations, as part of our daily assistance to our customers. We currently support (more than) 67,000 users, 260 servers, 7400 desktops, 500 laptops, 500 networked printers, 120 telephone PBX's, and 50 PDA's with a staff of 35, which is very lean, even for the average public school board in this province.” stated Howard Gardiner, Supervisor Technical Services for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.
